Calculating Interfacial Thermal Resistance Between Graphene and Silicon Substrate

Ali Yousefzadi Nobakht
Department of Mechanical, Aerospace & Biomedical Engineering, University of Tennessee

This page shows visualizations of sandwiched graphene between silicon substrates.

Molecular Dynamics simulation performed to calculate interfacial thermal resistance between graphene layer and silicon substrate and effect of pressure as a controlling parameter on that. Heat transition methods is used to calculate the interfacial thermal resistance. Simulation result showed a significant reduction of interfacial thermal resistance by applying pressure to the interface.1
