Structure of the fcc-bcc iron interface studied by molecular dynamics

Juntan Li
Department of Materials Science & Engineering, University of Tennessee

This page shows visualizations of a small part of the fcc-bcc iron structure with a step interface. This structure was created by Juntan Li.

An FCC-BCC iron bicrystal was built to investigate the martensitic phase transformation. Shear stress is applied on the top of the structure to induce the phase transformation. 1
