Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Arsenic Selenide Glass Thin Films

Maria Virginia White
Department of Chemistry, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee 37996-1600, United States

This page shows visualization of the melt-quenching procedure used to obtain a As4Se4 glass thin film.

A deeper understanding of the atomic behaviour within ChGs glass thin films is of fundamental interest and is crucial to understand the role they could play in device operations as semiconductors. The manipulation of the structural components of ChGs is beneficial to further improve a device's performance. Molecular dynamics simulations of amorphous As4Se4 were carried out starting from its crystalline counterpart.
